Chile’s Ministry of Health: people management serving the country

Digitising the administration of more than 200,000 healthcare sector workers

As part of the State’s modernisation efforts, the Ministry of Health of Chile launched the Human Resources Information System (SIRH) in 1999, a proprietary platform designed to optimise personnel management processes and provide strategic information to support decision-making.

This project strengthens Minsait’s role as a strategic partner in the digital transformation of Chile’s public sector, generating real impact in the administration and efficiency of the healthcare system.

A nationwide challenge

The key challenge was to ensure the accurate and timely processing of more than 200,000 monthly payrolls, while facilitating data management and analysis across the 35 institutions that make up the public healthcare system throughout Chile.
