Minsait, an Indra company, not only provided technological support for the provisional count and publications of the results of the recent elections to the Madrid Assembly. The company's work was expanded with respect to the tasks it offered in previous regional elections. Thus, Minsait was in charge of the design and construction of the Results Processing and Publication Center, as well as the entire COVID health protection protocol, under the direction of the Community of Madrid and Madrid Digital.

Once again, the elections to the Assembly of Madrid have been carried out without remarkable incidents, quickly, efficiently and guaranteeing the security of the citizens. Sources close to the management of the electoral process highlight the success with which the whole process carried out.

Provisional counting of results

In the previous elections to the Assembly of the Community of Madrid, held on May 26, 2019, Minsait was the company in charge of collecting, processing and distributing the results. In the May 4th elections, Minsait developed additional services related to the management of the administration representatives in the polling stations, as well as telecommunications services.

Technology-based security protocols

Indra's company also facilitated the implementation and management of numerous actions aimed at having an anti-covid protocol that guaranteed the health safety of all the people of Madrid who went to the polling stations.

The service of management, implementation and execution of the protocol of preventive public health measures against Covid-19 during the Election Day contemplated the design and implementation of an ambitious package of measures that relied on technology. This protocol sought to meet the security processes in aspects such as facilitating social distancing, avoiding crowds and ensuring at all times the availability of the necessary protection and disinfection material.

This protocol of preventive measures was deployed in the polling stations by more than 2,800 professionals who were in charge of informing citizens and ensuring compliance with the anti-covid protocol. To this end, these professionals had an incident management system installed on tablet devices that allowed them to report information related to the availability of the materials needed to guarantee security on voting day, send new requests and manage the surplus material once voting day was over.

Minsait was also in charge of the supply, distribution and installation of all the protection materials (gels, masks, protection screens...) and signage elements according to the anti-Covid protocol defined by the Community of Madrid for these elections.

A capacity control app was also deployed, which collected estimates of waiting time for voting and occupancy levels at polling stations. This same application allowed citizens to know the levels of waiting times at the polling stations in order to choose the best time to cast their vote.

Press Facilities

In addition, Minsait has been in charge of the rental and assembly of Spaces and the Press and Dissemination Room, applying anti-Covid security protocols, services that had not been performed in previous regional elections.
