On UN Public Administration Day, we underline the value of digitization and the inclusion of disruptive technologies in public administration to achieve more efficient, sustainable public services that are closer to citizens throughout their lives:
The objective is to celebrate the value and virtue of public service for the community, to highlight its contribution to the process of social development and to recognize the daily work of its professionals.
It is important to place the citizen at the center, both as the target of the actions and as their enabler. Transformation implies a 360º vision of all the agents that form part of the public service and global digital development models that take into account not only areas such as productivity, but also process security, service satisfaction, proximity and sustainability.
An innovative, agile and efficient Public Administration is essential to maintain a real Welfare State. To achieve this, it is necessary to evolve through services, applying new ideas and practices in management, and increasing investment in R&D in new technologies to generate greater value for citizens.
