Official postgraduate degree focusing on international human rights law

The Area of Public International Law and International Relations of the University of Alcalá offers a complete programme of official postgraduate studies in International Protection of Human Rights, consisting of an Official Master's Degree and a Doctorate. The academic offer is completed, in the field of the degree, with the competition in international litigation and the training course that complements it.

This programme of official postgraduate studies has been designed to meet the training needs of civil servants, lawyers and other professionals in the field of human rights, with a particular focus on international forensic practice. To this end, the University has entered into collaboration agreements with various national and international institutions so that students taking one of these courses, especially the Master's, can put into practice the theoretical knowledge acquired during their period of study at the University of Alcalá.

The teaching staff teaching on the International Protection of Human Rights studies programme come from prestigious European, North American and Latin American academic institutions. Likewise, the faculty is made up of jurists who work in the main international organisations that deal with the protection of human rights, such as the UN, the Council of Europe, the Inter-American Commission and Court of Human Rights, the International Criminal Court and the European Union.
