Elcano Royal Institute

The Elcano Royal Institute is a think-tank specialized in strategic and international studies, incorporating a Spanish, European and global perspective. It aims to advance critical knowledge about Spain’s foreign relations and international politics. The institute is concerned with building a meeting point that fosters consensus in a context of strengthening democracy, multilateralism and human rights.

 For this matter, the work of the Institute is published in various reports and posts, as well as reflected in the organization of seminars, working groups and conferences, both at national and international level. It involves actors from the political, corporate, social, cultural and academic fields. Moreover, its contents are concerned with multidisciplinary issues of high relevance, including their recent review of the quality of Spanish democracy.
